How to edit WhatsApp messages

What’s up! Welcome to my blog. Today I’m going to show you how to edit WhatsApp messages.

To begin, the first thing you need to do is “root” your Android device. The app you'll need to download is called WhatsHack, which is obviously not available on the Play Store, so you'll  have to look it up on some repository from the WEB.

Once you open the app, it will show you a list of all the active conversations from your WhatsApp, and all you need to do to begin the modification is click one of them.

Once you’re through with all of these changes, the conversation will look very different from the original, changing the received as well as sent messages. Then it’s just a matter of going back to WhatsApp, clicking on the conversation you previously edited, and you’re done! The conversation will look as if it really had happened that way.

Now all you have to do is Screenshot the conversation and prank your friends!

Serious thinking

Nowadays, it is very common in jury trials to present WhatsApp messages, SMS or comments on social media platforms as evidence of a crime. So, the following question comes to mind: can we really trust WhatsApp messages in a courtroom?

It is not uncommon to show WhatsApp messages to prove a person’s point when it comes to divorce processes or child custody, for example when one of the involved shows a text to discredit the other part, who claims they sent a text regarding a change on the pick up time or place of the child.

As we just showed on this post, it is really easy to alter these kinds of texts, all it takes is a little technological knowledge to install an app and modify said messages. So be careful and don’t be fooled by any screenshots you may see, as they are not very reliable.

Social media as evidence?

Personally, since social media is everywhere now, and not having anything else as evidence that could help me in one of these situations, I would be in favor of using them.

Let me know your opinion on the subject in the comment section below. If legal charges were pressed against you, would you appeal to social media on your defense?

  1. In my opinion, these messages should not be able to manipulate, modify information that is for somebody and not create a secure communication. Good article, Regards!

  2. Servers from this social media companies, save all this info, the problem, as the FBI with the Apple issue, information is DENIED. Even thou the companies have the access to it, they are not willing to provide it for legal purposes. By modifying it as you showed us, doesn't seem to be reliable source for legal evidence.

  3. I believe it should be up to the judge, because if we're talking about divorce or another small case and you need evidence about something you can get it from WhatsApp, cause it is a personal phone and it's not that common for a person to be hacked on an account Iike that. But if we're talking about a company or an economical factor I don't think you should use it because the people involved would know they have valuable information that could make them lose the case.

  4. I've never really trusted screenshots or conversations on social media even before reading this article because they can be set up, but now thanks to your post I know they can also be manipulated even after you've sent them. Thanks for this information!

  5. It's good information , but for me isn't useful because I don't have Android, but on the other hand, isn't a good idea what you're teaching , and you say that we can use texts in the courts and if so all we can modify these texts in our favor , so imagine the consequences of lying before the authorities could use it for fun with friends , but honestly not use it for cases where put into play my integrity or my freedom because you do not know if this is legal .

    1. You should 'think different' :p and you should also change to Android if you're looking for more fun. I know, I know, but this info is for your knowledge, now I'm sure you'll never trust every screenshot again ;)

  6. If you say these messages can be used in a court room as evidence, I think a possibility is that authorities might close down the websites where you can download the WhatsHack app or any other similar ones, to prevent lying or false accusations, don't you think so?

  8. Great post! but I think posts like this or video tutorials on the subject will result in text messages being invalid as legal evidence in any case, because with this information out there more and more people will soon begin to alter their texts, so they won't be useful legally. But hey, I think it'll be great to prank friends!

  9. Awesome, thanks for the info! I had no idea you could do that sort of thing. I think it'll be fun to play around with, but I wouldn't trust texts messages on a legal situation.

  11. Hey I thought this post was really interesting, and that's an important question you make at the end, and it got me thinking: do you think someone else will make an app to detect when a text has been modified? can that be tracked somehow?

  12. Great post! thanks for sharing this info!! :)

  13. I think this will not be a problem in jury trials because you're under oath and if you lied your charges would get worse or maybe you could be sent straight to jail for tampering evidence. and besides both parts always have people investigating the cases, so they should be able to find any inconsistencies, so I say go for it!

  21. As far as I know, none of the social media or text messages are legally treated as real evidence when it comes to a court case. Sorry but I believe this only can be used for amusement. Anyways, thank you for such good post, it is always good to know new apps and their how to's.

  22. Not many people know about this, and I don't think it is that common to cheat this way, so I still trust WhatsApp messages, and yeah, I guess if my life depended on it I would use them as evidence on a trial.

  23. I've only seen social media used as evidence on TV, I don't really know if it happens that way in real life, so I guess there's nothing wrong with sharing this info just to have a good time with your friends :)
